Beaufort House is a Grade ll listed house of significant historical importance in Bristol and dates from around 1600. The building had previously been converted into two flats and subsequently been empty for about two years. Simon Jenkins Building & Conservation was given the challenge of reversing this trend and restoring the building back to the principle house it once was.
By allowing the property and clients to inspire the level of design and restoration we were able to show how this fantastic structure can be compatabal with modern day living. To achieve this, we needed to use both traditional and modern building / restoration techniques to both restore the original features and incorporate the new additions some of which are shown above.
